As a workaround around the problem for not being able to decide whether a sign creation is successful, it might help to be able to set one, or a list of, permissions that could be checked. If the player that changed the sign has the permissions, it can be assumed that the sign was successfully created. If not, it can be assumed that the sign wasn't created.
